SOPHIA Network Meeting 2025 Malta

Rage Against the Machine?

This year we are looking at the implications of technology and AI on philosophy for children.

Are we more or less connected because of technology? What is it to be connected? How connected are we? Should P4C embrace or reject technology? How can we use it successfully, what dangers does it pose or can it be utilised for everyone’s benefit? What environmental issues does it raise? To connect or disconnect, is that the question?

The meeting will be hybrid again and the theme is deliberately open to invite a range of approaches. This is because SOPHIA workshops deal with P4C pedagogy, theory and practice; as well as philosophical experiences, games and activities for practitioners to take away.
